Which TCP port does Backup To Neighbor Use?
Backup To Neighbor Server use TCP port 1179. UDP port is not used.
My computer is unable to connect to the server. Why?
Please check the followings.
- Please check the B2N Server service is running on server computer.
- If the server is running Windows XP (SP1 or earlier) or Windows 2003, please check if the Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) is enabled. You have to adjust the setting of ICF so that the server is able to accept incoming connection from server.
- If the server is running Windows XP SP2 or later, please check if Windows Firewall Exception is allowed.
- Ask your network administrator whether TCP port 1179 is blocked. Ask the administrator to adjust the setting accordingly.
I have forgotten my encryption password. Can you help me to recover the password?
No. There is no backdoor to recover the encryption password. I am sorry!
May I use the server in commercial environment?
Yes. The server is provided free of charge even when it is used in commercial environment.
Is scheduled backup supported?
Not supported in current version. We do understand that scheduled backup is an important feature of backup program. We possibly will add this feature in future version.
